Our purpose is to expand the horizons in the field of contesting along with general and advanced ham radio techniques, and to foster a greater appreciation of the role they play in the overall hobby of amateur radio, as well as giving kids a challenge and enjoyment. We have 78 young hams with members in 20 states and 4 countries. We have 23 adult coaches/advisors. Come and sail with us..

WK1RK Kids, a happy "Ham-ily" Michael KD8OEV, YTM#74 left in bottom row, a new Extra is NC. The WK1RK Kids Net goes online at noon EST on Sat. #96170 on the MI echolink server or IRLP #9617. Michael is occasionally assisted in the net control duties by his sister, Kathleen KD8OTM, YTM#76
KD8NAZ, KD8ODP, and KC9OCE represented YACHT at this year's event. So did Gordon West WB6NOA.
Coaches KG8CX and KS8O joined NX9P to represent the coach side. Many interested ham stopped by and voiced their support of youth and ham radio.
